Prof. Madhu Prasad

Prof. Madhu Prasad, a retired professor from the Department of Philosophy at Zakir Husain Delhi College, University of Delhi, is a popular and admired teacher of philosophy and a veteran activist with over five decades of experience in fighting for liberation and equality. She has been actively involved in advocating for education policy reforms for over 20 years, fighting for equal opportunities and access to education for every child in India through the establishment of the Common (Neighborhood) School System.

Prof Prasad is a founding member of the All India Forum for Right to Education (2009), promoting a rational and democratic education system based on constitutional values such as secularism, equality, and social justice. She currently serves as a member of the Presidium of the forum and is also the editor of their magazine, Reconstructing Education.

Prof. Prasad regularly writes about the challenges faced by the education sector and provides critical analysis of education policies. Her efforts have taken her to various corners of the country where she has conducted conferences, workshops, and meetings to inspire young people and rights activists.
